6:57 PM CDT Sunday 21 July 2024 Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect for: Bloodvein At 6:56 PM CDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, nickel to ping pong ball size hail and heavy rain. This severe thunderstorm is located 15 kilometres south of Berens River, moving south at 55 km/h. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!
