| Detailed Description | * WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE. Portions of east central California, including the following area, Mono County and western Nevada, including the following area, Mineral and Southern Lyon Counties. * WHEN. From this afternoon through Wednesday evening. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff from thunderstorms may result in flooding of burn scars, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks with low-water roads and crossings being flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Deep moisture, slow storm motion, and storm redevelopment over complex terrain features will contribute to an increased risk of localized heavy rainfall and flooding within the watch area. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood |
