Brief Description Flood Warning
Detailed Description The Flood Warning continues for the following river and locations in Indiana. White River at Anderson, Noblesville, below Eagle Valley Power Plant, near Centerton, at Newberry, Spencer, Edwardsport, Elliston, Hazleton, and Petersburg. . The Flood Warning is extended for the following river and locations in Indiana. White River near Nora and at Ravenswood. .Major flooding is occurring along the White River from Spencer on downstream due to multiple rounds of heavy rainfall that brought around 5 to 9 inches to the area. The crest on the lower White was approaching Elliston Monday evening and forecast to reach Petersburg Friday morning. night and Petersburg on Friday. Minor to moderate flooding continues on the upper and middle White, with the crest approaching Noblesville Monday morning and forecast to be downstream of the Indianapolis area gauges by Tuesday morning. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. White River near Nora. * WHEN. Until late Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS. At 15.3 feet, River Road just north of 86th Street near the Fashion Mall at the entrance to condominiums begins to flood. High water affects Ravenswood and River Edge Drive. Many basements in Ravenswood fill with one to two feet of water. Some basements fill with more than three feet of water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 10:00 PM EDT Monday the stage was 15.3 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:00 PM EDT Monday was 15.4 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening and continue falling and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
