Brief Description Winter Weather Advisory
Detailed Description * WHAT. Snow above 6000 feet with accumulations of 2 to 6 inches west of Highway 89 and up to 15 inches along the highest peaks. Up to 2 inches at lake level. Ridge winds gusting as high as 100 mph. Southwest winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph with wave heights between 2 to 4 feet on Lake Tahoe. * WHERE. Greater Lake Tahoe Area. * WHEN. From 10 PM this evening to noon PST Friday. * IMPACTS. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes. Very strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines.
