| Detailed Description | The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in South Carolina. North Carolina. Lumber River 1 SE Nichols affecting Dillon, Marion and Horry Counties. Lumber River Near Lumberton affecting Robeson County. Little Pee Dee River At Galivants Ferry affecting Marion and Horry Counties. Waccamaw River near Longs affecting Horry, Columbus and Brunswick Counties. Waccamaw River At Conway affecting Horry County. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Little Pee Dee River at Galivants Ferry. * WHEN. Until early Sunday morning. * IMPACTS. At 9.0 feet, Flood waters will begin to affect residential yards in the Fork Retch community upstream of Galivants Ferry near the town of Nichols. Swampland flooding becomes noticeable and natural boat landings will be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 10:00 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 9.9 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to fall below flood stage early Saturday afternoon and continue falling to 8.6 feet Monday morning. Additional rain beyond 48 hours may cause higher rises. - Flood stage is 9.0 feet. - Flood History.
