| Detailed Description |
* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. Portions of south central and southwest Alabama, including the following counties, in south central Alabama, Conecuh, Escambia and Monroe. In southwest Alabama, Clarke. * WHEN. Until 515 PM CDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 206 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Monroeville, Evergreen, Frisco City, Uriah, Castleberry, Excel, Repton, I65 And US 84, Halls Crossroads, Ollie, Mexia Crossing, Megargel, Mexboro, Drewry, Goodway, West Monroeville, Mexia, Range, Monroeton and Lenox. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood |
