Detailed Description The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in New Mexico. Pecos River Near Lake Arthur affecting Chaves County. * WHAT. Minor flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record. * WHERE. Pecos River near Lake Arthur. * WHEN. Until tomorrow afternoon. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 6:15 PM MDT Sunday the stage was 19.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 17.5 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage this evening to a crest of 20.5 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage late tonight. - Flood stage is 20.0 feet. - Flood History. This crest compares to a previous crest of 20.6 feet on 10/07/1954. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
