| Detailed Description | RED FLAG WARNING FOR MOST OF WESTERN AND MUCH OF CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA THROUGH THIS EVENING. .A cold front will continue to move through western and central North Dakota today with strong west to northwest winds up to 45 mph and gusts to 65 mph expected through the day and into the evening. By late morning, through the afternoon, and into the evening, relative humidities are expected to drop as low as 22 percent. When combined with the very strong winds, an extended period of critical fire weather conditions is likely for most of western and much of central North Dakota today. * WINDS. West 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 65 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY. As low as 22 percent. * AFFECTED AREA. Most of western and much of central North Dakota. * IMPACTS. Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become difficult to control or suppress. |
