Hazards: Total rainfall amounts of 50 to 80 mm. Northerly wind gusts up to 70 km/h. Timing: This evening through Thursday morning. Discussion: Heavy rain is expected to begin this evening as a strong low pressure system moves into the area. The heavy rain will taper to light rain Wednesday night and become mixed with or change to snow, with minor snowfall accumulations possible. In addition, strong northerly winds gusting up to 70 km/h will develop this evening and continue through Wednesday evening. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage.
