Detailed Description The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in North Carolina. South Carolina. Cape Fear River At Elizabethtown affecting Bladen County. Black Creek At Quinby affecting Florence and Darlington Counties. Lynches River At Effingham affecting Florence County. Black River At Kingstree affecting Williamsburg County. Northeast Cape Fear River Near Burgaw affecting Pender County. Lumber River 1 SE Nichols affecting Horry, Marion and Dillon Counties. Lumber River Near Lumberton affecting Robeson County. Little Pee Dee River At Galivants Ferry affecting Horry and Marion Counties. Waccamaw River near Longs affecting Columbus, Horry and Brunswick Counties. Waccamaw River near Freeland affecting Columbus and Brunswick Counties. Waccamaw River At Conway affecting Horry County. Great Pee Dee River At Pee Dee affecting Florence and Marion Counties. . The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in North Carolina. Cape Fear River At William O Huske Lock And Dam 3 affecting Bladen and Cumberland Counties. Cape Fear River At Lock And Dam 1 affecting Bladen County. * WHAT. Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Northeast Cape Fear River near Burgaw. * WHEN. Until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 16.5 feet, White Stocking Road is closed and floodwaters begin to get into the homes in this area. Highway 53 is closed adjacent to the river. Stag Park Road has water 2 feet deep on it and becomes impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 9:30 AM EDT Monday the stage was 16.2 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.5 feet tomorrow morning. Additional rain beyond 48 hours may cause higher rises. - Flood stage is 10.0 feet. - Flood History. This crest compares to a previous crest of 16.7 feet on 09/05/2006. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
