Brief Description RAINFALL WARNING
Detailed Description 5:32 AM PDT Sunday 22 September 2024 Rainfall Warning in effect for: Haida Gwaii Rain, at times heavy, is expected. What: Rainfall amounts near 50 mm with higher amounts possible over the west coast of Haida Gwaii. When: Tonight until Monday morning. Where: Village of Daajing Giids, west coast of Haida Gwaii. Remarks: A strong storm system will approach the north coast of British Columbia today and is set to bring heavy rain to the region tonight and Monday morning. Rainfall accumulations are expected to much lower for the east coast of Haida Gwaii, including areas near Masset and Skidegate. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
