Brief Description RAINFALL WARNING
Detailed Description 11:30 AM EDT Sunday 18 August 2024 Rainfall Warning in effect for: Bruce Peninsula - Sauble Beach - Tobermory Heavy rain continues. Hazard: Additional rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 mm, leading to total rainfall amounts possibly exceeding 100 mm locally. Timing: Continuing through today. Discussion: Showers and thunderstorms will continue today. This weather pattern typically brings rapidly changing conditions between sunny skies and heavy downpours. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to taper to isolated showers later this afternoon. For information concerning flooding, please consult your local Conservation Authority or Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry office. Visit Ontario.ca/floods for the latest details. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Don''t approach washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
