Northwestern Orangeburg County in central South Carolina. * Until 915 PM EST. * At 613 PM EST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Aiken, Aiken Mall, Clearwater, Williston, New Ellenton, Jackson, Aiken State Park, Citizens Park, USC Aiken, Graniteville, Gloverville, Burnettown, Wagener, North, Springfield, Salley, Neeses, Norway and Perry. This includes Interstate 20 in South Carolina near mile marker 9. and near mile marker 11. 2 To 4 inches of rain has already fallen with an additional 1.5 to 3 inches of rain possible over the warned area.
