5:07 PM PDT Monday 3 June 2024 Wind Warning in effect for: East Vancouver Island - Courtenay to Campbell River East Vancouver Island - Nanoose Bay to Fanny Bay Strong winds are expected near the water. When: Late tonight to early Tuesday morning. Hazards: Southeasterly winds near 70 km/h. Locations: Regions near the Strait of Georgia along Sunshine Coast as well as central and northern sections of East Vancouver Island. Remarks: Another system crossing the South Coast tonight will bring strong winds to the Strait of Georgia tonight. Southeasterly winds near the water will strengthen to 70 km/h late tonight and ease Tuesday morning with the passage of the system. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage.
