Brief Description Flood Warning
Detailed Description The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Florida. St Johns River Near Above Lake Harney affecting Seminole County. St Johns River Near Sanford affecting Seminole County. St Johns River Near Deland affecting Lake and Volusia Counties. St Johns River Near Astor affecting Lake and Volusia Counties. .The Saint Johns River will remain nearly steady or slowly fall through the week, prolonging impacts. At Astor, the river level will remain above the major flood stage of 4.0 feet. At Deland, the river is forecast to remain steady, staying in major flood with a stage forecast near 5.4 ft. The river at Sanford is forecast to remain steady in moderate flood. The river level at Geneva is forecast to stay in moderate flood and drop only slightly to 9.7 ft by mid to late week. For the Saint Johns River at Astor and Deland, major flooding is forecast. For the Saint Johns River Above Lake Harney and at Sanford, moderate flooding is forecast. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. The next statement will be issued Tuesday morning at 1100 AM EDT. * WHAT. Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE. St Johns River near Above Lake Harney. * WHEN. Until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 10.0 feet, Flooding of homes in low lying areas becomes more significant. Many secondary roads are impassable, limiting access to homes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 8:30 PM EDT Monday the stage was 9.8 feet. - Bankfull stage is 6.0 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:30 PM EDT Monday was 9.9 feet. - Forecast.
