At 18.0 feet, Widespread lowland flooding adjacent to the river. Water approaches some secondary roads over the southeast sections of Kinston. Campgrounds and picnic areas at the Nature Center in Kinston are inundated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 9:15 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 15.5 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:15 AM EDT Sunday was 15.5 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise to 18.0 feet Thursday evening.
