Brief Description SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT
Detailed Description 5:04 PM PDT Sunday 25 August 2024 Special Weather Statement in effect for: North Coast - coastal sections Heavy rainfall and strong winds are expected. Where: North Coast - coastal sections. When: Now until Monday morning. Rainfall amounts: 60 to 80mm, nearing 100mm locally. Winds: South/Southeasterly up to 80 km/h. Remarks: A potent and moist frontal system from the Pacific is bringing prolonged rainfall to the North Coast. Strong winds will also affect the exposed coastal areas. The heaviest rainfall will continue until early Monday morning. Strong winds will continue until this evening. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
