Detailed Description The National Weather Service in Tampa Bay Ruskin FL has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Florida. Alafia River At Riverview near US 301 affecting Hillsborough County. .Storm surge associated with Tropical Storm Helene is expected to create near record or record flooding late Thursday evening. For the Alafia. including Lithia , Riverview near US 301. Major flooding is forecast. * WHAT. Major flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record. * WHERE. Alafia River at Riverview near US 301. * WHEN. From Thursday evening to late Friday morning. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 5:00 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 0.8 feet. - Bankfull stage is 4.2 feet. - Forecast. The river will oscillate around flood stage with a maximum value of 7.0 feet late Thursday evening. - Flood stage is 4.2 feet. - Flood History.
