| Detailed Description | * WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. Portions of south central and southeast Texas, including the following counties, in south central Texas, Jackson. In southeast Texas, Colorado, Fort Bend and Wharton. * WHEN. Until 1115 AM CDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 816 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 3 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. El Campo, Wharton, Edna, Ganado, La Ward, Pierce, Lolita, Louise, Cordele, Nada, Lake Texana Dam, Morales, Egypt, Vanderbilt and Hungerford. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood |
