| Detailed Description | 11:17 AM EDT Sunday 18 August 2024 Rainfall Warning in effect for: Deep River - Whitney - Eastern Algonquin Park Heavy rain is expected. Hazards: Additional rainfall amounts of 50 to 80 mm, leading to total rainfall amounts exceeding 100 mm locally. Rainfall rates of up to 40 mm in an hour. Timing: Continuing through today. Discussion: Showers and thunderstorms will continue today. Locally higher amounts in thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening. This weather pattern typically brings rapidly changing conditions between sunny skies and heavy downpours. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to taper to isolated showers tonight. For information concerning flooding, please consult your local Conservation Authority or Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry office. Visit Ontario.ca/floods for the latest details.
