Wabash River from Lafayette downstream to Mount Carmel. .Following the heavy rain last week, the Wabash River from Lafayette southward remains in flood, and flooding will last as long as into mid to late week next week. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Wabash River at Riverton. * WHEN. Until Wednesday, April 24. * IMPACTS. At 18.5 feet, High water surrounds elevated river cabins. County roads to these cabins are impassable. Agricultural flooding is in progress. Seep water develops behind levees. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 10:00 PM EDT Wednesday /9:00 PM CDT Wednesday/ the stage was 18.9 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:00 PM EDT Wednesday /9:00 PM CDT Wednesday/ was 18.9 feet. - Forecast.
