Brief Description Special Weather Statement
Detailed Description Heavy snowfall is no longer expected to fall along the Transcanada Highway corridor Thursday evening. The heaviest snow is now forecast to fall north of the corridor, north of the City of Winnipeg. However, a short but intense band of snow will pass through the Winnipeg region during the evening rush hour tonight, giving a quick 2 or 2 to 4 cm of snowfall. Additional light snow is expected to fall on Friday but accumulations should not exceed warning thresholds by Friday evening. ### Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
