6:05 PM PDT Monday 1 July 2024 Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect for: Fort Nelson At 6:04 PM MST, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a cluster of severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain. The cluster is located 40km north of Fort Nelson, and is moving southwest at 25 km/h. Highways 77 and sections of highway 97 near Fort Nelson will be affected. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!
