9:05 AM CDT Saturday 13 July 2024 Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect for: L.G. of Pinawa incl. Seven Sisters Falls At 9:05 AM CDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts, toonie to ping pong ball size hail and heavy rain. This line stretches from Round Lake south to Otter Falls and is moving to the northeast at roughly 30 km/h. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Intense lightning is likely with any thunderstorm that develops. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches.
