| Detailed Description | 11:03 PM CST Thursday 25 July 2024 Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect for: Wollaston Lake - Collins Bay At 11:02 PM CST, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, nickel to ping pong ball size hail and heavy rain. This severe thunderstorm is located 80 north of Wollaston Lake and is moving north at 35 km/h. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Intense lightning is likely with any thunderstorm that develops. Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors! Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
