Where: Dempster Highway When: Starting overnight and continuing into Friday afternoon Impacts: Reduced visibilities and slippery surfaces Remarks: A cold front over the Beaufort Sea is expected to swing down over the region overnight tonight. Stronger easterly winds will pick up and rain will turn to wet snow. With some warmer air aloft, patchy freezing rain may develop early Friday morning and continue through much of the day. 2 to 4 cm of snowfall accumulation is possible by Friday afternoon. The wet snow or freezing rain is expected to switch to a rain and snow mix late Friday afternoon before easing Friday evening.
