| Detailed Description |
* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of south central Illinois, including the following counties, central Clinton and northern Washington. * WHEN. Until 1115 AM CDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 812 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages. Shoal Creek, Kaskaskia River, Plum Creek, Fish Slough, Frog Slough, Sugar Creek, Little Crooked Creek, Queens Lake Branch, Grand Point Creek, Little York Branch, North Creek, Lost Creek, Crooked Creek, Lake Branch, Rayhill Slough, Little Mud Creek, Weaver Creek, Elkhorn Creek, Beaver Pond Creek, Willow Creek, Coon Creek, Bull Branch and Beaver Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Breese, New Baden, Carlyle, Trenton, Okawville, Germantown, Albers, Beckemeyer, New Memphis, Bartelso, Hoyleton, Johannisburg, Hoffman, Damiansville, Covington, Addieville, New Minden, Huey, Venedy and Frogtown. |
