| Detailed Description | * WHAT. Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Ogeechee River near Eden. * WHEN. From this evening until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 14.0 feet, several homes and camps near the river are surrounded by water. Significant flooding will also occur at Steel Bridge boat landing on Highway 119. Water will surround several homes near the boat landing and access to the homes will be limited. The boat landing will also be flooded and likely have limited use. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 315 PM EDT Saturday, the stage was 8.0 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening and continue rising to a crest of 14.0 feet Monday morning. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. |
