| Detailed Description | 9:50 PM ADT Monday 8 July 2024 Heat Warning in effect for: Cumberland County - Minas Shore Humidex values reaching 38 are expected. A period of very warm and humid weather is expected. Time span: today and Tuesday, possibly continuing in some regions Wednesday. Minimum temperature tonight: 18 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperature Tuesday: 30 degrees Celsius (Humidex 34 to 39). Location: Nova Scotia. Remarks: Cooler conditions can be expected along parts of the coast. Extreme heat can affect everyone?s health. Watch for the effects of heat illness: swelling, rash, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and the worsening of some health conditions. When it?s hot, eat cool, light meals. Avoid using the oven. Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
