8:34 PM CST Monday 19 August 2024 Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect for: R.M. of Humboldt including Humboldt Carmel and Fulda Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. Time Span: Monday evening through to midnight. Summary: Severe thunderstorms have developed and will continue to develop within the watch area. The strongest storms that develop will pose a risk of large hail and locally damaging wind gusts. The risk of severe thunderstorms will continue through the evening towards midnight. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors! Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
