Detailed Description
The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality in Raleigh NC has downgraded the Code Red Air Quality Action Day to Code Orange for Fine Particulates for Polk County, until midnight EDT tonight. All other Air Quality Alerts for western North Carolina and upstate South Carolina have been cancelled or are no longer in effect. An Air Quality Action Day means that Fine Particulates concentrations within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards.
