| Detailed Description | FLOOD WATCH FOR KAUAI AND NIIHAU NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL THURSDAY MORNING. * WHAT. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE. Niihau and Kauai. * WHEN. Until Thursday morning. * IMPACTS. Flood prone roads and other low lying areas may be closed due to elevated runoff and overflowing streams. Urban areas may receive more significant flooding and property damage due to rapid runoff. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Pockets of moderate to heavy rain will produce rain rates of 1 to locally 2 inches per hour over portions of Kauai through most or all of tonight. |
