| Detailed Description | Snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 20 cm is expected. A wintery mix of precipitation is forecast for today and Friday across much of southern Saskatchewan. Expect hazardous winter travel conditions. Heavy, rapidly accumulating, snowfall begins early this morning in western Saskatchewan along the Yellowhead corridor and will spread eastward towards the Manitoba border by Thursday evening. The heaviest snowfall is forecast through Saskatoon and continuing east towards Yorkton. 10 to 20 cm of snow is forecast across the province before the snow eases Friday evening. In addition to snowfall, strong easterly winds will also develop causing reduced visibilities and poor highway travel conditions. A band of freezing rain has also developed along the southern edge of the heavy snow from the Kindersley area and will migrate eastward throughout the day. ### Rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
