7:28 PM PDT Sunday 22 September 2024 Rainfall Warning in effect for: North Coast - inland including Stewart Rain, at times heavy, is expected. What: Rainfall amounts of 50 to 100 mm. When: Tonight and Monday. Where: Stewart, Gitwinksihlkw, New Aiyansh, Terrace, portions of Highway 16, Kitimat, Highway 37. Remarks: A strong storm system approaching the north coast of British Columbia is set to bring heavy rain to the region tonight through Monday. Rainfall rates are forecast to be heaviest on Monday. Rainfall amounts will be greater as you head westwards towards the coast. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
