Brief Description Flood Advisory
Detailed Description * WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. Portions of southwest Illinois, including the following counties, southeastern Calhoun, southern Greene and Jersey and east central Missouri, including the following counties, southeastern Lincoln and northwestern Saint Charles. * WHEN. Until 630 PM CDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 337 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Godfrey, Troy, Jerseyville, Moscow Mills, Carrollton, Brighton, Winfield, Greenfield, Hardin, Grafton, Elsah, West Alton, Portage Des Sioux, Fountain N' Lakes, Chain of Rocks, Old Kane, Kemper, Flint Hill, Kane and Old Monroe.
