Brief Description SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT
Detailed Description 11:18 PM EDT Tuesday 27 August 2024 Special Weather Statement in effect for: Blind River - Thessalon Heavy rain continues tonight. Hazard: Local total rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 mm possible. Timing: Tonight. Discussion: A slow moving line of heavy showers has developed over the area and is expected to continue for the next several hours. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts. For information concerning flooding, please consult your local Conservation Authority or Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry office. Visit Ontario.ca/floods for the latest details.
