11:02 PM CDT Tuesday 3 September 2024 Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect for: Norway House Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing loonie-sized hail. At 11:00 PM CDT satellite imagery indicated that this severe thunderstorm was located about 25 km south of Cross Lake and was moving toward the east at 30 km/h. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors! Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
