| Detailed Description | 8:56 PM EDT Sunday 25 August 2024 Heat Warning in effect for: Seine River Village - Mine Centre A heat event continues this evening and is expected to end later tonight. A hot and humid airmass will move out of the area later tonight after the passage of a cold front. Humidex values are expected to fall below 30 after midnight. Extreme heat can affect everyone?s health. The health risks are greater for older adults, infants and young children, pregnant people, people with physical and/or mental illnesses, and people with disabilities or mobility issues. Drink plenty of water regularly, even before you feel thirsty to decrease your risk of dehydration. Thirst is not a good indicator of dehydration. Never leave people, particularly children, or pets inside a parked vehicle. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
