The circulation, JTWC Invest 93W, continues to drift westward and is now found just southeast of Palau near 6N136E. Satellite imagery shows deep convection continuing to flare up near the center as the circulation becomes better organized. The JTWC now rates 93W as a MEDIUM for development, meaning TC development is likely but beyond 24 hours. As 93W continues slowly west to northwest tonight and Thursday, waves of heavy showers and thunderstorms will pass over the islands of Palau, possibly bringing an additional 3 to 5 inches of rain through Thursday afternoon. Additionally, strong gusts to around 30 mph will be possible with the heavier showers. Numerical model guidance continues to show 93W intensifying in the coming days, but most likely once to the west of Palau.
