A blizzard warning is issued when winds are expected to produce blowing snow with widespread visibilities of 400 metres or less for at least 6 hours. Protect yourself from wind, cold and disorientation by staying sheltered, indoors or with your vehicle. Limit outdoor activities. Ensure that shelter is provided for pets and outdoor animals.
