Brief Description Air Quality Alert
Detailed Description The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has issued the following. WHAT. Air Quality Health Advisory for Multiple Pollutants. WHERE. Larimer and Boulder Counties. Locations include, but are not limited to Loveland, Lyons, Berthoud, and Longmont. WHEN. 400 PM Friday August 02 to 900 AM Saturday August 03 IMPACTS. Increased levels of ozone are expected throughout the Front Range region. Additionally, impacts from wildfire smoke due to the Alexander Mountain and Stone Canyon wildfires will affect locations within the advisory area. The presence of multiple pollutants increases concerns for health impacts in these areas on Friday and Saturday. HEALTH INFORMATION. Public Health Recommendations: Greater likelihood of respiratory symptoms and breathing difficulty in active children and adults and people with lung disease, such as asthma; possible respiratory effects in general population. Active children and adults, and people with lung disease, such as asthma, should avoid prolonged or heavy outdoor exertion; everyone else, especially children, should reduce prolonged or heavy outdoor exertion.
