RED FLAG WARNING THROUGH THIS EVENING FOR MUCH OF CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA INCLUDING THE JAMES RIVER VALLEY. . RED FLAG WARNING TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY EVENING FOR MUCH OF SOUTH CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA AND THE JAMES RIVER VALLEY. .Critical fire weather conditions are expected to continue through this evening across much of central North Dakota, including the James River Valley. Expect minimum relative humidity values as low as 15 percent, with southerly winds sustained around 30 mph gusting to 45 mph. Any fires that ignite could spread rapidly and become difficult to control. Tonight, humidity recoveries will be poor across south central North Dakota and much of the James River Valley. This combined with continued breezy southerly winds will bring critical fire weather conditions. These same areas will then see Monday afternoon humidity values near 20 percent, while breezy southerly winds linger, thus continuing critical fire weather conditions. For these reasons, a Red Flag Warning has been extended in these areas for tonight through Monday evening. * WINDS. South 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY. As low as 15 percent through this evening. Look for poor humidity recoveries tonight, with relative humidity as low as 18 percent Monday afternoon. * AFFECTED AREA. Much of south central North Dakota, and much of the James River Valley. * IMPACTS. Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become difficult to control or suppress.
