Brief Description Freezing Rain Warning
Detailed Description Ice build-up due to freezing rain is expected or occurring. Locations: the Great Northern Peninsula. Total freezing rain amounts: generally 5 to 10 mm, locally higher amounts possible. Freezing rain duration: 4 to 9 hours. Time span: ending early Sunday morning. ### Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will become icy, slippery and hazardous. Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
