| Detailed Description | * WHAT. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE. Portions of east central and northeast New Mexico, including the following areas, in east central New Mexico, Quay County. In northeast New Mexico, Eastern San Miguel County, Far Northeast Highlands, Harding County and Union County. * WHEN. Until 3 AM MDT Monday. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Showers and thunderstorms with rainfall rates in excess of 2 inches per hour will remain possible through the early morning hours. Heavy rainfall on top of saturated soils will elevate the risk for flash flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood |
