9:39 PM MDT Wednesday 1 May 2024 Snowfall Warning in effect for: Kananaskis - Canmore Widespread snowfall accumulations of 10 to 20 cm are expected by Thursday evening. This long duration snowfall event could produce total snowfall amounts as high as 30 to 50 cm along the foothills. Some areas may see a transition from rain to snow tonight. The snow will be heavy and wet, and with the rain to snow transition, total snowfall accumulations will vary widely. Snow will taper off to flurries Thursday evening then finally end early Friday morning. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow.
