| Detailed Description |
* WHAT. Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of South Central Arizona, including the northern Tohono O'odham Nation in north-central Pima county. * WHEN. Until 1115 PM MST. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 811 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen over the past several hours with an additional 0.5 to 1.0 inches expected over the next hour. Rainfall runoff will result in significant ponding of water in roadway dips and other low-lying areas, especially along portions of Route 34 and Route 35. Small stream flooding is likely in drainages that fill into Aguirre Wash. - This includes the following streams and drainages. Viopuli Wash, Sells Wash, Brawley Wash, Pan Wash, Pan Tak Wash, Sikul Himatk Wash, Robles Wash, Los, Blanco Wash, Anegan Wash, Sil Nakya Wash, Mammoth Wash, Murk Kui Wash, Aguirre Wash, Ko Vaya Wash, San Vicente Wash, House Wash, Quijotoa Wash, Cocio Wash, San Luis Wash, Comobabi Wash and Tiro Wash. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Avra Valley, San Isidro, Picture Rocks, San Pedro, Queens Well, Comobabi, South Comobabi, Cababi, Santa Rosa Ranch, Sil Nakya, Rincon and Silver Bell. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood |
