1:43 PM MDT Thursday 2 May 2024 Blizzard Warning in effect for: Resolute Blizzard conditions with poor visibility in snow and blowing snow will begin this evening. Heavy snow and strong winds will move into the area tonight. Winds will gust as high as 80 km/h from the southeast. Total snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are expected. Poor visibility in snow and blowing snow will continue until Friday morning. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Limit outdoor activities. Blizzard warnings are issued when widespread reduced visibilities of 400 metres or less are expected for at least 6 hours.
