Brief Description Flood Warning
Detailed Description Ice jams have re-formed below Napakiak and water levels are rising above the jam, extending upstream on the Kuskokwim River. * WHAT. Flooding caused by an ice jam is expected. * WHERE. Kuskokwim River. * WHEN. Until 830 AM AKDT Monday. * IMPACTS. Widespread ice jam flooding can be expected in communities along the Kuskokwim River. Flooding will continue as the main ice jam has re-formed near Napakiak. Homes and infrastructures will continue to be impacted until the ice jam releases. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 730 AM AKDT, the River Watch Team reported an ice jam on Kuskokwim River near Napakiak. Impounded water due to the ice jam will cause rapid river rises upstream. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
