Detailed Description |
* WHAT. Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of piedmont North Carolina, including the following counties, Cabarrus and Mecklenburg. * WHEN. Until 1015 PM EDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 707 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Uptown Charlotte, Huntersville, Central Charlotte, South Charlotte, Northeast Charlotte, East Charlotte, Northwest Charlotte, West Concord, Cornelius, Davidson, Harrisburg, University City, Hidden Valley, Reedy Creek Park, The Plaza, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Lake Norman and Croft. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood |
