Brief Description SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT
Detailed Description 4:12 PM EDT Thursday 27 June 2024 Special Weather Statement in effect for: Upsala - Raith Significant rainfall possible Friday into Saturday. Hazard: Rainfall amounts of 30 to 45 mm. Locally higher amounts are possible. Timing: Early Friday into Friday night or early Saturday morning. Discussion: A low pressure system will bring rain which could be heavy at times beginning early Friday and continuing into Saturday morning. There is still some uncertainty on the exact location of the heaviest rainfall. For information concerning flooding, please consult your local Conservation Authority or Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry office. Visit Ontario.ca/floods for the latest details. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
